What makers and knives would you guys and gals recommend for the price range. I got a collection going and I am not looking back. I go to yourcornerstore to buy all my knives, but are there any other sites with the same proces and with different selections?

Get a RAT1 off ebay. Super buy for the money. Also look at the NAVY knives made in China. Same factory that makes these makes the Byrd line for Spyderco. Outstanding fit and finish and compression locks on the paraM copy and Native copy. Look at the older CRKT M16,18 and 20 series also. As for a fixed blade look at some Muela's, Kabar's etc. etc. keepem sharp

Heh, most of my collection is under $70 each. Cheap arse's unite!

A few suggestions w/ price estimates..

Kabar Dozier $20, Mule $45
Boker Trance and Subcom/Wharcom <$30, Hyper $35
Kershaw Skyline $30, Od-1 $40, JYD 1/2 $35/65, RAM $55
BM Mini-Grip/Grip $55/65
Spydie Delica/Endura $50/52, Centofante $50, Native $50, Tenacious $30
SAKs - all of 'em! well...most of 'em....

In this price range, you can't do better than Kershaw IMO. You can start getting into entry level Benchmades and Spydercos, but this price range is Kershaw's bread and butter.

You really can't go wrong, but my favourites are the RAM, JYDII, and Skyline.

+1
Also add the Blur, Blur S30V, G-10/Random leek.

Kershaws and Spydercos are both great and you cant go wrong with them.

I would stay away from Cold Steel.

Also, I havnt heard of any folding knife makers that go for under $70.

+1 on the D2 Leek, got one for 43 bucks, strong frame lock, opens like lightning and cuts just about as well too :) There have been isolated reports of it opening in pocket though, so keep that in mind.

I've got a CRKT Hissatsu which was about $65. It was kinda stiff when i got it though, not happy about that. I tested it on the arm of an old couch i had, wow.... gruesome.

No ones mentioned Mantis Knives, they sell a lot of folders for around $40, anyone know if they're any good? They have the only folder with an SV30 blade for under $100 I've ever seen.

They have been discussed at great lengths here. They are pretty much universally hated.

Other then yourcornerstore.com, what are other sites that sell Knives for cheap that might have a dofferent or greater selection?
