best food dehydrator

I picked up mine from walmart.

Snackmaster Express.

It ran about 40.00 and it does just about everything well. I ended up getting some more fruit roll sheets, cause that (along with tons of beef jerky) is what I use it for. Its been groing strong for over 2 years now.

If you want somthing more industrial, look to the excaliber (sp) line. They start at 150.00 or so, but its definately professional quality.

Whatever you do, make sure you get one with fan and temperature controls. Otherwise its uselses.
 
thanks man, imma head to walmart soon. All this talk of beef jerky has me droooolin.
 
I got one off Ebay that works great. Pay attention to the number and size of the trays, how much heat it puts out, and the fan! Temperature control and air flow are keys to success.
