One of my best friends that I served with at the 101st abn div, and spent 11 months in Iraq when it started is heading back with the 1ST ARMOR DIV INFANTRYin Nov. time frame.

I would like suggestions on a new knife for him. Last time he carried a Tops firestrike and it was fine ,but he wants something new to take and Id like to get it for him. Wanting something custom made to take with him and hopefully i have the funds

Cant want till hes back with all the pics ill request

caine I wish your friend well and God be with him. A few of my customers where over there and one maybe going back soon. You are a good friend doing this for him and it will be comforting for him to have a piece of equipment given by a best friend.

can't go wrong with a Buck/Strider 882 or 889 for a folder if a Strider SmF or SnG is out of the question. if you are looking for a fixed blade i think you were on the right track with the TOPS. i'd also consider one of the the Buck/Strider fixed blades or one-peice Chris Reeves knives..
