Best gas piston AR's

I want to get a gas piston ar while I still can, I was thinking a Lewis what do you guys think? I would like to be comfortably under $2k.

Think about what you are going to do with it. Do you really need a gas piston AR? A DI version works just fine with typical maintenance; if you HAVE to have a gas piston, you might want to consider just getting an AK... unless you are planning on sniping at 500 meters or more?

In answer to your question: you really can't do better than LMT, Lewis Machine and Tool. I think you knew that. If you are shopping for price, that might be a different matter and it clouds your judgement.

I agree with Spark. There's no need for the cost of an Indy Car unless your diving 200 mph for three hours.

Buy more ammo.

Why not look at the SIG 556 (if you can find one)? Gas, softer shooting, kind of a cross between an AR and an AK. I love mine.

I was looking for a sig, but the sigs I have found have been more than the LMT's I have found
