Hello all,

I am new here and new to Mr. Ingrams knives. I recieved my first a few weeks ago and one for Christmas. My question is what Ingram knife is best for a Big Game knife? I am looking for and appreciate the help and opinions.

I recieved a B&T #4 and have a Dropped Combo. The Dropped Combo has a light hunter and skinner. I was wondering which of Gene's knives would be a good gutting knife for mainly deer sized game?

Thanks guys,

Thanks for the reply. I did that and Gene gave me a few models that he he thought would work well. I would like to hear from some here as well. Thanks for the help,

I have a #6 drop point. It is by far my favorite knife. It is a perfect critter cutting knife. The extra length makes a big difference to me. Made short work of this roadkill moose this weekend. The knife is still razor sharp.

Thanks for the reply tundratrader. Wow, that looks like a nice knife and alot of good eating. I like the lines of your #6. I am uneducated when I look at Gene's knives and my problem is I can't tell the difference between a #1, #7, #6 and Hunter models. So I ask to those with more knoweldge than I for a reccommendation.

Thanks all,

I used a light hunter for the first time last night on an Iowa whitetail. I have never had so sharp a knife.
