pretty much what is says. what do you guys think is the best gentlemans knife for this price range? needs to be built for bigger paws. im looking at a bradley alias 1. any other suggestions?

In my mind it is the Carbon Fiber Caly 3 ZDP
No doubt about it. And I have XLarge hands

The Benchmade 940 has a lot of blade for the weight, and in a very slim package, but the ZDP Caly 3 is one of the best knives out there.
It looks fantastic with the carbon fiber handle scales, the blade steel is some of the best in the world, the handle feels incredible.
The wire clip keeps the knife low in your pocket, is very discreet, and doesn't tear your pants up.

In short, the Caly III is the closest I've seen to a perfect little folder.

I think the new Benchmade Shoki would make an awesome gentleman's knife, though it may be a bit big? I'm not really sure what makes a gentleman's knife other than being sophisticated looking and non-threatening.

Four Kershaw Leeks. I have hugh hands and they fit me great. Excellent quality. Sorry they don't cost a lot more, they are worth it.:D

I knew the Leek would be there. Although nobody ever accused me of being a Gentleman, the Leek is the first knife that come to mind when I hear the phrase. Its a slim compact knife which really works well. Love the Rainbow model.

I go with a case copper lock with bone handles and a spydie police serrated in my dress boots.

+1 on the CF ZDP Caly 3. I would also suggest one of the Kopas but they might be a little small for larger hands. Bradley Alias might also be a good option. Caly 3 would be my pick though.
