I've used Garmin products professionally and personally for a long time. I currently use a Garmin 60cx (no longer made). It has been replaced by the 62 series. The 60 and 62s are very accurate, can be loaded with maps and are easy to use. If you get a mount for it, they can be used in a vehicle or hand held.
