Best Group at 50 yards

5 shot group at 50 yards. 4" group. Not bad I think.

I really want to see how my 20 yard groups look after 50 yard shooting

Its really cool to shoot long distances and getting good groups at long ranges where wind and drop have even more pronounced and visible affect on arrow flight it is great practice. I would not shoot at a deer out past 50 but have shot at 80 + yards at targets for the fun of it. I do think your groups get tighter when you move back in to 20 as the target appears way bigger than when you just roll up to the 20yrd mark and start shooting.

That's great shooting any way you cut it.

Back when I was shooting a lot, I could put 4 out 5 in a pop can at 50 yds. Past that it was a crap shoot for me. I don't think I could hit a pop can at 50 yds now.

I could hit 4 out 5 at 85 yds with my scoped Horton crossbow. I took a couple of turkeys at 75 yds with it. That thing was great. It would put 5 bolts touching at 45 yds.

My buddies always wondered why I used it for turkeys instead of a shotgun. After they watched me take those birds at 75 yds (range finder) they knew why. Each of those birds hung up and wouldn't come closer, and they couldn't get them with a shotgun.

Great shooting, reminds me of some guys I used to shoot with. They were all much better than I, we were just relaxing shooting 3D targets. I finally got brave enough to shoot at the deer at 50 yds, flinched and stuck him in the head. One of my buddies yelled "head-shots" and they all started firing. I didn't shoot again but felt sorry for the head on that target when they stopped. Great post, thanks.

Thats solid shooting at 50 yards. Are you using a release?

I'm using a fuse wrist release. Very crisp and buckle strap is nice.

Nice shooting, makes rambo look like weak sauce. I want to get into bow shooting a little, but have this weird feeling that once I start, little it will not be.
