I would prefer one with a 3" blade. But which is the most popular and still in production?

With a 3inch blade I would definitely have to say the G-10 handled Harpy wins hands down. But my all time favorite Hawkbill would be the serrated Spyderhawk.

However we are going to have a New Superhawk come our way here in the not too distant future.

*coughs on drink* THERES A NEW S-HAWK COMING OUT!?!? That made my day ^.^ Anyways, definitly the Harpy. Pretty much whatever handle suits your and your budget.

KD: I vote for the Tasman Salt, as I prefer the blade shape, steel, and hole size over the Harpy.

SS: The Superhawk is an upcoming knife essentially created by a thread on the Spyderco forums. VG-10, peel ply CF handles and a compression lock.

That is basically true: The name of the thread is>> Now's The Time: For A New Hawkbill ~~~ and it's still running :) Just go to spyderco.com and go to Forums.

But I just can't wait for the Superhawk. I would also just love it if the Spyderhawk would come back with a different handle along with some other bells and whistles.

I like the Tasman Salt. Never had a chance to handle a Spyderhawk, but am looking forward to the Superhawk.

The original Spyderhawk = SKU C77, black FRN handle, VG-10 blade and the first ones had a misprint in the handle - Endura instead of Spyderhawk (the so called Endurahawks  )

So here is one of the "Endurahawks"

and the Spyderhawk in blue, plain :D

Ok, so I bought a Harpy online, very excited. This will be my 6th or 7th Spydie, but my first Hawkbill.

Thinking of doing a "hawkbill round-up" for EDC Magazine. If anyone has a bunch and can write, please let me know. The pay sucks but the hours are long.
