Best iPhone Charging Cable Alternatives?

Tired of these cheap lightning/charging cables that Apple includes with the phone falling apart after three months. They always split right at the base of the connector. Anyone know of any quality made cables that won’t fray so easily and last a while?

I've tried many different alternatives and, for me, I've concluded the Apple cables were best.

I've done well with Anker. You can also get an amalgamating putty, like sugru or the one lock-tite makes, or silicone tape to beef up the connectors. I've done a few with the right size of 4:1 heat shrink, but you don't get a good fit down on the cable, as it's too small, but it does give a bit of support to the connector.

There's plenty of Youtube vids on fixing these problems. I too had to fix a few of mine. Next time, I'm buying a new chord, then preempting the fix w/ some of those YT methods.

A problem with some aftermarket cords is they will not work or stop working eventually on the iPhone as they are "unauthorized". I found this out the hard way.

Also I think I've seen some kind of strain relief gizmo that you can add to a standard cable but I can't remember where I saw it. This would reinforce it at the critical spot. I tend to plug my cord in and leave the phone setting on the table so nothing messes with it. I've also seen a magnetic connector similar to Apple laptops where you plug a small adapter into the phone then the cable snaps to it with a magnet, that way if there is too much pull on the cable it just unsnaps rather than breaking.

Best alternative is to get an Android.
