It's the Edwin Jagger DE87, apparently. It's a brand new $30 razor that compares favorably with all the most expensive antique Gillette $100+ razors, including the Imperial and the adjustable Fatboy.

Who knew? The thing has a PLASTIC HANDLE for crying out loud. Fake ivory. It must actually perform very well for the BNB shavesnobs to stoop so low. It's going on my list.

I don't know if any of you guys have one, but if you do, what do you think?

I'm planning on buying one in a couple of weeks.

When I was looking for my first razor it was an option. I ended up getting a slim instead (slim and fatboy are both around 30 as well) which I haven't gotten yet. I wanted to figure out how agressive a razor I wanted, and figured an adjustable was the best way to go. but just so you know, I'm pretty sure the DE89(/L) is the same thing but in stainless. and boy that thing looks shiny. I might try to pickup a used one in a few months. Either that or an HD. So if you get one, let us know how you like it.

The DE89 is the exact same head, but with a different handle. From the reviews I've read, the chrome handle gives the razor more heft and better balance. I'm going to sell some of my SuperSpeeds so I can buy one of these and compare it to my 1930s/40s Gillette fat handle Tech razor (both being 3-piece tech designs). The fat handle techs have a great feel to them compared to the standard slim handled techs, so we'll see how this compares.
