What do you believe is the best knife brand warranty? Have you had experience with said company? I vote Benchmade.

Benchmade and SOG are the only two I've used and both were outstanding. Just sucks that I had to use them at all.

Busse, ESEE and Entrek. To be fair their products are less likely to require warranty work than a folder, but the warranty they offer is impossible to beat

The "finest" warranty is that company's warranty which rebuilds, renews, resharpens a piece of junk that is sent to them and returns it to the newest owner...at no charge. BTW, it is returned as a better folder than when brand new. Will explain further once I get some sleep. Nitey-NIte. Meantime, you can guess which company went the extra mile.:)
Don
p.s. Thanks for your patience. Yes, it is Strider. Two examples...I sent them one with broken and badly-reground tip. They put on a new blade, drilled out the old epoxied pivot when heat would not work, installed their updated new pivot system, cleaned it all up pretty, and it came back at NO cost.
Next example: a poor attempt to mod a Sng which warped the blade, painted scales. Got back basically a new Sng; no cost.
Strider is NOT quick to answer emails, BUT they are working on Customers knives.
I have experience with BenchMade, Spyderco, CRK Customer Service...All are GOOD.
STRIDER is WAY ABOVE ANYONE ELSE.

I've only used a knife warranty service once in my entire life.Buck made my made my 45 year old 110 like new again.

For fixed blades I think any decent company could offer an ESSE-type warranty and still do just fine. But they don't.

For a folder, I'll take the warranty that is lifetime AND dismantling of the knife is encouraged. Spa or sharpening for life is even better.

What are there, four of those maybe? I can think of two or three....

All of the major production knife companies stand behind their products. If they didn't, they wouldn't stay in business.

Honestly i have to say Kai wins hands down. I have never heard of them denying warranty even when it was painfully obvious that they should. I know they have bailed me out of some epic screw ups.

When you talk folders, I would say KAI is probably tops, but they still are absolutely nowhere near companies like Busse and ESEE as a whole.

This ^

Chris Reeve and Emerson are the only companies I know of that don't threaten to void warranties for disassembly.

I go out of my way to avoid companies with a "If you disassemble your knife your warranty is void" policy, as if their customers are too stupid to remove a few screws to disassemble their knives for maintenance.

I'm not sure about that. A few of the major makers seem like car dealerships, where any tampering with the knife is blamed for the problem even if it clearly had nothing to do with the issue at hand.

Busse,Scrapyard,Swamp Rat....Spartan Knives,BRKT,CRK,Spyderco. Lumped the first 3 togeather because they are all related to Busse.

A warranty is only as good as the longevity of the company. I know this because my roof had a 25 year warranty, but the company went out of business two years after replacing my roof. Luckily the company's owner was better roofer than a businessman. Try getting your Lone Wolf Paul-lock knife fixed today.

Benchmade, Emerson, Spyderco, CRK, Strider, AGR etc. have yet to exist past the death of their founder. Buck, Case, SAK, Randall, Queen, all have survived the death of the founders.

Good point.

I have had good luck with Benchmade and Kershaw. Both top notch.

Recently picked up a SAK with a busted blade. Anyone know what their warranty is like?
