Best knife for the money I've ever found (besides the Sebenza)

The Kershaw Storm, what a deal! $25 on newgraham.com! The knife is thin, has a solid lockup, great ergonomics, two small pulley-wheel-shaped backspacers instead of one big plastic one, bronze washers (no more teflon plase!), and is the perfect EDC size for me. Not to metion the awesomely sharp recurve blade...

With all the quality issues I've had with the Kershaw speedassist knives I can't believe that these things are soo nice for soo cheap! My only complaint are the grip inserts, but they're not as troublesome as the ones on the Blur or other Microtech models. This knife is a very good exapmle of my philosophy (and that of many others): KEEP IT SIMPLE.

This is definitely Kershaw's best since the Vapor. :D

Al Mar S.E.R.E. 2000 for $118 + S&H when the MSRP was $190....it's $210 now, I believe!

I noticed that too, the last time I was there. Held off on purchasing it because the money went for a Spyderfly, though.

It looks good and has a great shape and size. Not too fond of skateboard tape on knives, but that's not a big concern considering the price. Great to hear about the quality and that it is made in the USA.

What's the deal with Sandvic 13C26 Stainless Steel? I would be very interested in hearing about edge holding, toughness, how thin a profile it takes, etc.

I'm a big fan of kershaw too. I have a Vapor II, Chive, and my EDC is a tactical Blur. I'd definatly get a Storm but i'm not a fan of recurved blades :-( I like my tips pointy and strong. Seemed like a recurved blade shape looks cool and thats about it, but I could be wrong.
