LIMITED WARRANTIES (OTHER)

CRKT Knife
This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way. This warranty does not cover breakage or failure due to misuse of the knife. Knives as good as ours rarely break or fail because of a defect. Usually they break or fail from what we call “tool abuse”—using them for unsuitable tasks like prying or pounding. Therefore, blade tip breakage is not covered by our warranty. Use of a knife for any purpose other than cutting voids the warranty. (The exceptions to this caution are the A.B.C. Aqua and MAK-1 Multiple Access Knife which have tips designed specifically for prying.)

Deepeeka is an Indian-based company:
However, they will not give any guarantees or warranty information in writing.

I'd say that Kershaw has the best warranty in the business, as they will cover abuse--I've seen it with my own eyes. Just don't take advantage of that.
I've also heard that Spyderco's is good too.
Benchmade, if you abuse/disassemble, they charge you

RAT cutlery has the best warranty, IMO.

From the website: "No Questions Asked Warranty. If you screw it up, break it, or cut it in two with a cutting torch, send it back and we'll replace it. Warranty is transferable. In other words, we warranty the knife no matter how many times it's been traded, sold or given away. We don't ask for a sales receipt, date of purchase or where you bought the knife - No fine print and no hassles. If you have a problem, contact us."

Now THAT is a warranty.

Leatherman say that their warranties do not cover abuse, but I've seen them replace snapped off blades a number of times, even when the customer admitted to using it as a prybar. Also one genius who used the pliers to cut a live wire and managed to weld the pliers in the process. They also have the habit of replacing a lot of the tools that have scratches on them while busy servicing the tool. No questions asked, no charge. So in my experience, their warranty is a lot better than how it is written.

PS. they do clean and sharpen them, by the way

well i was debating on getting a rc-3 but with that kind of a warranty i think im going to take the plunge and get one

I sent a wore out busted piece o' crap to Leatherman and got a beautiful perfectly adjusted tool back.It was an early 1st model and i believe it was the same tool i sent in.I was quite impressed with their service.Buck is also awesome.Case XX years ago wouldn't do squat for me on a vintage knife, but ive heard that's changed.

I guarantee you can quickly ruin any knife through misuse or neglect and eventually ruin any knife through proper use (edges wear and fatigue and other parts wear and fatigue).

It's an unbeatable and indepedent of brand or maker guarantee!

While I've been guilty of buying the warrantee (mostly to sell the idea to my family on why I need yet another nigh-indestructable knife that costs a whole huckabucka dollars), buying the knife is infinitely more satisfying.

Regardless of what the warrranty may say, Victorinox will fix or replace a broken knife, regardless of how it got broken. That's the test of a real warranty, and Victorinox has passed that test several times in my family.

Strider and Grayman both have top notch warranties. If you break it send it back they will fix or replace it no questions asked.

Interesting list. The order might be a bit off...and the best warranties are not even listed.

I would imagine that Kershaw is right up there with any listed.

RAT Cutlery has to be up there...and what about Bussekin?

1. No Hassle Warranties:thumbup: (Clearly above the rest)

2. Warranties, (Not Normal Wear), I understand abuse, but normal use?
3. Time Warranties
4. Other Warranties Limitations

There are other knife companies that I do not have, which is why its great that you all post replies. I did limit my grouping to what they put in writing and not just experience as I wanted to know the “minimum warranty” standard for that company. Within the four groups I went in “alphabetical order” not in any other order.

I do hear great things about RAT Knives.

I agree Rats warranty is sweet, but here's another question say the Busse has the same warranty, whats the turn around time on a blade ya break since they are hard to get in the first place.

If I ever break one I'll let you know... bahahahhhhh.;)

I have seen Busse replace a knife that was hammered into concrete, then kicked sideways to get out. Great warranty, but I would never take advantage of it if I actually intentionally broke a knife (ie if I cut it in half with a torch I would not expect them to replace it).
