Best kydex sheath

A real quick question which will get a lot of input, I hope I'm not in the wrong area of this forum. I need some sheath options for an ASH-1, BATAC, and Jack Hammer. I am considering purchasing 2 different sheaths for some knives so I can carry them differently as situatins apply. Thanks in advance, Joel
 
i like mashed cat.if you have a coated blade this is the way to,they wont wear off the coating like some others..
 
My preferences, YMMV.
1. Okuden (Brian Wagner) -- pancake sheaths with rivets all around the perimeter of the sheath
2. On-Scene Tactical (Eric Noeldechen) -- "taco" folded over sheaths with rivets along the edge
3. Buy Brown David Brown

I haven't handled, but read consistently good reviews of River City Sheaths (Mike Sastre). Mashed Cat's work can be seen here on the forum. There are a few other INFIholics who do kydex bending, but I can't think of their names right off.
 
Steelnut (Forum Member) made me some nice taco sheaths for my old SJ's. No kydex rubs at all and perfect fit and finish.
 
I've had them all and those mentioned are great. You won't go wrong with them, but I will have to say that Eric over @ Mashed Cat has my favorite for fit an finish. They just need to get some taco versions going.

I pretty much get all my kydex from Okuden (Brian Wagner), never had a problem and they fit right everytime! :D

also a big fan of mashed cat for kydex. okuden is good too. chuddy bear for leather.
i've seen some very impressive rainwalker work. my next sheath will probably be from him.

Plus, Eric is a bit of a family member here on the forum. :D

If you want custom kydex for a spec-ops sheath, look at Rob Hummelbaugh of Survival Sheath Systems. He makes a good product as well. He also has a forum in the makers section of BF. :thumbup:
 
I really like the job David, at Buy Brown, did on this sheath, for my Hog ASH-1.

I haven't used them all but I do like BUY BROWN and Chuddy Bear. There are many to choose from and I imagine they all do an excellent job.

AND... you can jump from an Airplane with them and the knife will still be there after you land...this includes the Chuckette' :)
