This labor day weekend my family and I decided to explore a new area near or house. The road down to the middle yuba river is an amazing hand stacked rock road on the side of steep canyon with a descent of 1200 feet. The road was built in 1913 to connect two large mining camps of the area.

Here is a view off the edge...
Once down to the river it was awesome labor day weekend and not anyone in site and didn't have to drive back and forth looking for a parking spot.
The perfect day and a new favorite spot that is also the closest place for us to get in the water. Can't believe its right around the corner and in almost 2 years living here i just now found it.
