Hello, Following up the lanyard discussions a while back, what do you believe to be the best lanyard material, and where do you buy it? I like paracord, but would like to find something just a little thinner with a tighter/ tougher finish. Any suggestions and sources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Regan

Yes, Eastern Mountain Sports has the best cord to add to a knife. After the nylon lanyard started coming apart on my Sebenza I went out and got a lovly red and yellow 3mm cord from EMS. It is very tough on the outside and has a plastic like core in the middle. Very cheap to.

I just bought some great stuff at the local hobby shop.

It's called "Maxi-Cord."

100% polypropylene, 3.5mm, available in red, black, brown, crappy olive, and perhaps other colors my store doesn't stock.

Doesn't feel prickly like some poly cord does, it's nice and flexible, and if you pull it tight, it collapses down to a very thin cord.

50 yards for about 3 bucks.
