Best liner lock under $100?

Ok, I know this could be loaded question. But let me narrow it down a little:

I'm looking for a simple liner lock that works smooth. The blade and materials are not important. Just the basics.

Smooth operation and decent fit/finish is what I'm looking for (or at least the best in the price range).

The tenacious family is awfully hard to beat value wise. Everyone I have seen has a very well mated lock. Otherwise kershaw has a few that a very good as well. And I think even benchmade has a couple. Pretty much any liner lock from those three companies will be great. I'd also take a look at bucks lineup.

What style knife are you looking for? Since there are a lot of options.

With the recent release of the Spyderco Resilence, along with its progeny (Persistence and Tenacious), you can get what you are looking for in the $30 - $45 range. I've got pics up in the Spydie forum.

They don't have super duper blade steels, but the materials, fit/finish and operation are otherwise first rate. They open like butter, and the lock engagement is first rate. Up/down/left/right clip placement. Not much to dislike, unless you are after the higher end blade steels.

Benchmade Gravitator is one of the best liner locks period...titanium...beautiful craftsmanship for about $100.

Not that it matters, just like all my knives (apparently), they're out of production and extremely rare.

Though you would have to get it on the secondary market, the G-10 Kershaw Tyrade has the best ll in my opinion., and sold for around $85!

This sounds right up my alley. I would prefer to be under $50, I wasn't expecting much in that price range.

Any other "smooth operators" under $50?

I just looked at the Tenacious and Resilience from Spyderco. Thats quite a knife for the price, and from what Ive heard they make some good knives. Amazing, I didnt think there would be decent liner locks around that price range.

+1 on the Tenacious family.

I have a Persistence and I absolutely love it. It rivals more expensive knives. Incredible value.

I remove the pocket clips on my knives and just drop them in my pocket. When I removed the clip on my Persistence, I stripped one of the screw heads.
I have heard of others having the same problem. I think the trick is to use the right tool. I thought the clip screws were T6 Torx but they are Hex heads and I don't know the size.

These are excellent knives. And they just happen to be inexpensive too.

Just make sure you use the right tool if remove or relocate the pocket clip.

Orange, Tan, or Black G-10. Plus a composite D2/CPM154 blade.

Here it is to the right of a Spyderco Military:

+1 for the Spyderco's... I love my tenacious.. The steels a little soft but a few swipes on a stone will get it back to hair popping sharp in no time..
Another one worth taking a look at is the RAT 1.. To me, the AUS8 steel seems to hold an edge a bit better.. This is another very high value knife.
If you want something a little beefier, take a look at the ZT350.. I've come across a few for around 90 bucks on the exchange.

Another +1 for the Persistence. Also, the Sage 1 is outstanding. They can be had for about $80 if you look around.

ZT 0200 can be had for under $100 if you shop around. Also the G10 Tyrade is wonderful, if you can find one.

Thanks all. But I think the Spyderco Tenacious has won. Looks like the best bang for the buck. Around $35 shipped. Tough to beat!

I think the Spyderco Sage1 is a much better knife than the Tenacious for under $100.
