Best lube for CRK knives?

Typically, I would reccomend the CRK grease, but, I am in love with NanoOil. That stuff is awesome.

Tried F grease, Hoppes #9, nanoOil, ended up with Slick 50 motor oil on my Hoppes bottle with needle.

As I recall (without getting up and looking) the paper that comes with the knives says you can use 3-1 oil even

I use BreakFree. Works Great. No need to disassemble (confession: I used LocTite to keep the screws from backing off/out).

The screws won't loosen or back out. The screws gall (stick) against the Ti. You know that "snap" you hear when loosening the screws? That sound is there because the screw has "stuck" itself to the Ti. Believe it or not it's a pretty strong bond.

It was a genius idea on Chris's part.

I've got some flourinated grease I'm going to try. Maybe blend it a little thinner with flourolube oil to thin it just a touch. That should be pretty close to what CRK has. Stuff is expensive! 225$ for an 8 oz can of it if I had to buy it.

Maybe you guys can help me out, I have a umnumzaan but no lube besides rc car bearing grease and tuf glide, with just the bearing grease the action is smooth but the ceramic ball grinds against the blade.... Its annoying. So I put a drop of tuf glide on the ball and its smooth as silk until the glide wears thin, would CRK grease fix this or do I have a messed up knife? It's already going back to crk for over $200 worth of work.

I got my first sebenza last week, a large 21, needless to say I absolutely love it.
Gave it a few days to break in but the action was still a bit sticky, and had gathered some lint/dirt. Took it apart tonight for the first time, removed all the factory grease and dirt, I applied a dry lubricant called "dri-lube" (which comes in a solid stick), to the moving parts, gave the detent track a light polish, reassembled it and after about 5 open/shuts the grease wore in and its opening like butter!
Another +ve to dry lubricant is that lint wont get stuck in the action so in theory will stay silky smooth for longer. In the manual that came with mine it recommended 3in1 / gun lube for the blade when storing, and teflon based grease for the action.
But at the end of the day use what ya got, the dry lube I used was generic stuff from the auto store but has done wonders! :D

If you are using regular gun oil or other liquid lubricant and you are attracting a lot of lint and dust into your knife you are using way too much oil. After about an hour of experimentation I found that all it takes is one drop on the blade side of each bushing and one drop on the pivot before dropping into the blade. 3 drops will do it. Oil has a way of working it's way around where it's needed. Try it, open and close the knife 6 times and then open up the knife and inspect where the oil is. You'll see that it has worked it's way all around the bushings. BTW, I use Slick 50 with a needle applicator so your mileage may vary slightly. Still a good experiment for you to try to determine the least amount of lubricant needed. I find that if my knife ever feels like it needs lube just a single drop against the blade on each side of the pivot does the job.
