Hi,
I would like to share my impressions with a new lube (dry lube) i got two weeks ago.
It is for guns and knives. It is called Guncoating and really really is the best lube i ever tried on my folders. They run smoother than before. Even better than nano oil.
It covers the steel with nano particles of ceramic. And this also helps prevent the steel from rust.

I don't know if you ever heard of this product?

When you spray it on it is wet and then you let it dry.... How it works I don't know.... Only that there is a real difference and it holds on....

If they are really nano-sized particles, they don't need anything to adhere. Extremely fine particles are almost self-adherent. Ever get very fine powder on something and try to get it off? It's almost impossible. Static may play some additional role as well. Never heard of this particular stuff before myself.

If it's slicker than Nano Oil, I'm curious because that is the slickest stuff I have encountered. How is the rust prevention?

Hi,
that is from their website :

Ceramic high performance coating

Fluna GunCoating is a ceramic high performance coating for all kinds of firearms and knives. Despite its extreme lubricating properties Fluna GunCoating is free of residue. It forms an invisible, dry film on the weapon and increases the gliding properties of moving weapon parts. Hard, metallic sounds of rubbing parts – such as e.g. rifle locks – are reduced considerably. Fluna GunCoating forms a firm unit with the surface, does not run off and is thus a long-lasting protection against corrosion. Fluna GunCoating can be applied on all surfaces such as steel, plastic, polished wood, gold and silver ornaments, colour case hardenings, cast and rubber. Fluna GunCoating smoothes out microscopic cracks and striae and permanently the treated surfaces polishes. Wear is thus reduced to a minimum, gun efficiency increased. Fluna GunCoating is already effective at first application– also in case of older weapons!

Maybe that helps a little bit answering some questions [emoji4]

interesting stuff, would be curious to see some testing on this!

Right now I don't know who is importing this stuff. Where are you guys living? I could send some to the US but must ask for the postal fees.
If these fees are to high than it might not be worth the money 😉

Well, thanks for pointing it out, might give it a try sometimes.

I will have to try this stuff. where can you purchase it in the united states? i only see euro suppliers on the website.

nano oil and diamond lube are the same thing and all the marketing is snake oil. ive heard that it was mineral oil with an unknown substance as the nano particles. the guy that sells it doesnt even know what it is. why anyone uses this stuff is beyond me, especially with its history. zero standardized tests have been done to legitimize any of its marketing, and it wont pass any legitimate standardized tests even if they tried.

i just use synthetic lubricants mostly. if i have any mobile one around that works too. apply a drop or two and smear around with a q-tip because you only need it to coat the surface and not a liquid mess that attracts dirt, lint etc like most people do with lube. a little goes a long way with a good lubricant. a few days will go by and the lubricant should penetrate the metal and protect it (at least the custom lube i get from peter viceroy does). becomes pretty smooth too, and it lasts much longer between changes since its not picking up all that gunk, not to mention its synthetic.

Sorry for the late reply. I have one bottle maybe 3/4. I would send it to one of the interested and the one who gets it tries it and write his experience with this stuff. So then it might be easier to know for the others if it is worth or not.
Just a thought....
