I'm looking to add a MT to my EDC. It's going in my bag rather then my pocket, so weight isn't really an issue. I already carry a SAK, so blades and scissors are going to be a waste of space. What I'm really looking for is something with a good collection of screwdriver bits, full size pliers, and (soft) wire cutters. I've lost too many bits to consider bit adaptors. The screwdrivers have to be an integral part of the tool. What tools/brands have the best quality and selection?

Something like with this crossed with a pair of needle nose pliers.

I love the quality of the drivers on the Leatherman Super Tool 300. Hollow ground and nice and sharp.

Victorinox Spirit gets the runner-up spot.

Go to the Chapman Tool Bit web site. Order the bits that you use. They are winged so they won't slip through a box socket. They also have a speeder and a spring loaded retention ball. Now look for a Craftsman forged ingnition wrench with a 1/4" box end and any size open end. Cut the open end off and put the wrench and your favorite bits in a clamshell vinyl coin purse. You now have custom pocket toolbox with very little weight.

For some of the best made screwdriver on any MT plus good pliers you don't have to look at much more than a LM Kick IMO.
