Best neck knife?!

Just looking for something I can hang on my neck. I have no budget. Not a fan of knives out of Asian countries. A good steel. I'm not picky. I want a decent sized blade. 3" at minimum.

I apologize! I forgot to mention what i intend to use it for! I just want it for edc, having a knife on my neck is easier to access than my pocket. And I like carrying multiple blades. Sak in the coin pocket of my jeans, ontario rat 1 clipped on my left pocket, and now I want something around my neck!

3in blade is a little big for a neck knife. Weight is supremely important when dealing with neck knives.

I often carry a Mora 2/0 around my neck when out of the city. Not sure if it's larger than 3in or not but it's close. It's a lightweight and handy little knife.

my new necker is actually approx 3.5- 4 inches cutting edge. i put it around my neck and it felt fine. i have not warn it all day yet. that won't happen until it gets colder.

check out Larry Nowicki http://www.nowickicustomknives.com/docs/knives.htm : the knife u see prominent is close to how mine is, except i wanted a finger choil & my knife is smaller then the pictured blade. i just got it Sunday we have a Tai Ch picnic yearly and Larry is the resident knife maker/smith. I have a kydex sheath, but he offers leather if you want that. Japanese/Chinese style handle wrap. talk to him dude.

If you're wanting the best, you're probably going to want ferrum forge to cook you up something in sm100. Don't think he takes custom orders, though.

You said you didn't have a budget so I will throw out a few. For about $30 you can have a Crkt Folts Minimalist, which has a shorter blade than your spec's, but feels great in the hand. You could even spring for a real Alan Folts custom minimalist if you wanted.
Almost daily, I carry a Damon Lusky of Alfa Knife back up box cutter. Again it is shorter than your spec's, but I think it works very well as a neck knife.
Two that are on my list to try, but I don't have experience with are the Strider SLCC and Medford Micro Tanto.

A range of good ones:
Busse Bear Cub
Hinderer Flashpoint
Becker BK-11
D'Eskabar
Gryphon M-10 (if you want to really go 4")
A couple of the Boker/BokerPlus' neckers.

On a side note, I probably carry my TOPS CSAR-T Liason the most. Lightest, most concealable/inobtrusive 3" rig I know of. Simple Kydex envelope sheath, very secure, belt width for horizontal or IWB carry, front pocket carry in jeans, great weight for neck carry. Gets plenty sharp on a stone. No rust worries. Paracord makes it perfect. Or maybe cheap makes it perfect.....

Email Ronnie Hale through the forum. He goes by HaleStorm. He's in my friends list on my profile if you look there. He just picked up a sweet necker in CPM20CV, which is the same formula as M390. Good price too.

YEP. That's my blade. CPM-20CV too. Incredible work and a beautiful blade. When time allows in my shop, I'll add some nice scales to it, craft some gorgeous kydex, and it will be my edc necker. As far as Brian Evens is concerned, well, he's just an all around helluva guy in every way. His communication was outstanding and he treats you like you're the only customer he has. The pics tell the story of the balde he made me.

Get one now before everyone finds out about this guy and his prices go up!

BK11, Izula are both great.
The
Hardedgeknives squall is next on my list. He is a member here.
