I've read good things, esp. about the KFF, but for those who've handled them all, which is the best - Crawford/KFF, Point Guard, Urban Shark, Navajo ?

How would they compare with the Outdoor Edge Magna, Impulse lines. ?

RH, I haven't handled them all. I do have two KFF's on the way to me. I purchased them sight unseen for two reasons. I've been in love with Pat Crawfords design since the first time I saw a picture of one, after handling the customs I felt it was the most ergonomic knife I had ever had in my hand, if the CRKT even comes close, I will be very happy.
Second, there was a review of these knives a short while ago, and it was glowing. The writer put the knife through some tests that my knife will never be put to. It's just good to know that they will stand up.
I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the knives you mentioned, and CRKT has some great prices. You get a lot of knife for the money.

I can't coment on the other knives, but I have handled the KFF, a small one, and found it very sturdy, and probably one of the best knives around for its price.

My two cents worth. I visited my fav knife shop today and bought a new urban shark for the collection. nice little knife the point guard did nothing for me. I loved the M 16 series of past years but this year well yawn! A new knife has to be really awesome for it to grab my attention maybe but this years offerings in the industry as a whole seem boring!

Hey RH,

For my purposes the new Ti Mirage looks great; it's small, but that's I'm looking for. My only worry is the steel, I've never heard of ACUTO 440. If the steel is good and the Ti version is half as sturdy as the Grey Ghost I have now....it should be a great knife!

The Lightfoot Urban Shark is a great knife! The size is perfect for everyday carry and the design of the blade is great. The only drawback is that it is a bit thick, however, even that makes it feel good in my hand.
