Last thread on this.
I don't have a personal favorite here.

I am on the lookout for something in this range though - so - having said that - let's see what's on everybody's list!

OP, I will do what I did for your $100 thread, and here's again from the search within BHQ. Still no affiliation with them whatsoever. Knife preference is highly personal, it's like asking what's everyone's favorite color and it has no bearing on what you may like.

Cold Steel SR1
Spyderco Manix2
Spyderco PM2 and family
BM Bugout and family
BM Bailout and family
BM Crooked River
CRKT Provoke
Spyderco Spyderchef
Lionsteel TRE
WE Double Helix
ZT470
ZT562Ti and family
BM941 and family

These are just some that caught my eyes, and often pretty well received by BF members here. I owned some but not all of them, so can't speak for the quality on all of them.

Vague question, vague answer......

Anything from
LT Wright
SYKCO
ESEE
Becker

And Many custom makers Here!

Huh? I don't follow.?

In case you missed it - I had threads over the last few weeks - starting at under $10 and working up from there.
I'm setting my limit here at $300 - since above that figure, you get into - more or less - pretty specific knives.
I could go up to $600 - but - with respect to folders, that could very well be 3 pages of "Sebenza"....including a few of us that would question that.

Nothing wrong with that at all!

General answers are just as good as specific ones in many cases.

Should someone ask "What kind of knife can I get for $100 to $300 - then any of those you list will give them a great starting point.

BTW - a huge Thanks! for the LT Wright tip. Since I'm in Ohio - that works great for me! Plus the prices are very reasonable.

What about a three sisters forge beast. They are right around 300 and custom quality.

If you are gonna hunt with it, then the White River Sendero Pack knife designed by Jerry Fisk is a great piece.

It carries splendidly, the S35VN is done right, and it is just a joy to work with. @fisk outdid himself on the design, and White River built right.

For a "why not" piece, grab a 5 inch model 451 in 3V from Freeman Outdoor Gear. Pick one up from @Whitty91 at USA Made Blade.

For a carry piece, the Southern Grind Spider Monkey is great stuff. Ergos are great, steel is perfect, and the carbon fiber is gorgeous.

Or what the hell, come over, join me for prime rib and microbrews at our local brewpub. Pick up the $300 tab and pick one of my knives!

(Come out to the coast... have a few laughs...:D )

I ended up myself with a Benchmade Boost - discontinued sale @ Blade HQ ($127).
We'll see how it does.
I'm thinking it will replace my Lenox (yeah, the saw blade people) assisted opener I picked up for about $10.

There is so many option in this price range....

Spyderco PM2, para3, Native, yojimbo, Spydiechef
Benchmade Bugout, 940-1, Superfreek
Emerson CQC7, A100, CQC15
Cold steel ... any Demko design
Zero Tolerance 04**, 06**, 0562, 0393
Protech SBR, SNG
Any TRM or MBK knives....

seriously there are too many options, it doesn’t really make sense.
IMO you should be more specific on what you are looking for

Just speaking for me, my personal favorite would be the Microtech LUDT
I have been very impressed by this knife as an edc
Slim, good material, great blade geometry, strong action

If you wanna get close to maxing out your $300 budget, ZT0562TI
You can even use the change to buy a set of aftermarket ceramic bearings and make the action better. Then you’ll have something as good as a custom.
