I did a search and couldn't find too much (just a mess of balisong threads) and I wanted to do something different than the 'best edc' threads that pop up daily.

My current favorite knives are non-assisted flippers; Skyline, ZT 0200, ZT 0560 etc.

What is your favorite in the sub $100, $100-250 and $250 plus ranges?

Sub $100: Kershaw Skyline
$100-$250: Buck Paradigm Pro (don't have one but the one I handled was amazing!)
$250+: Kershaw Tilt/ XM-18

I haven't handled many high-end knives, but for sub $100, the CRKT Ripple is mighty fine. I love the Skyline too, but nothing is as smooth as IKBS. The first time I tried it, I actually had to check for a spring, to make sure I wasn't using a limited edition one or something. It really is that good.

My favorites..

Kershaw RAM - about $50
ZT 0200 - about $130
Kershaw Groove - about $45

Kershaw JYDII is great knife that you can pick up for well under $100. I also like my Kershaw Ram that opens so smooth and fast that it feels like an A/O knife.

I've always like CRKT's M16 line of knives. They really don't cost much and are really good user knives. I've seen people complain that they have to sharpen them after use... so what? What's better than practicing your sharpening skills on an inexpensive knife, that sure beats fugging-up a $200+ folder's edge.
