A weird question I know, but I have no real need for a one piece, but want one anyway. So I figure if I get it as a kitchen knife then I'll actually be able to use it.

Anyway, what's the best one, looks like Sable would be it.

Well alrighty then.... Ifin' I have the guy's over then I takes out that thar' kathathu 9 incher, or the Shadow I , works great cuttin' up the pizza or spearin' them pickles. :D Now ifin ya' tryin' ta' be all that serious then that thar' sable would be alright though a bit thick for some tasks it will work just fine for most things- unless you is one of them thar' "fancy" chef's and be do'in all that decoratin' food makin' , in a fine and delicate style....

I love the CR 1 Piece line-up. Super easy to keep them spotless!!

I would give serious consideration to the Shadow III. It is an excellent size & weight for everyday kitchen use. The blade shape is just a functional as it is appealing to the eye!

If you could handle some of the knives in the One Piece line it would definately be helpful, however if that's not possible just take a look at the one knife that you enjoy using most in the Kitchen currently and choose whichever One Piece knife that is similiar in size and weight. Just a thought.

Thanks to Tallpaul, I be havin a Shadow III and yup, yu-becha it is be makin a rite durn good kichin nife!

Thanks for the replies, the Shadow looks a little to heavy duty for regular kitchen use.

Dave, all the One Piece Ranger are Heavy Duty, their construction alone makes them much more solid and durable than most other knives of the same size. However, if you were able to handle the Shadow III I think you'd find that it is a very comfortable size, small and light but not fragile.
