Title says it all!

I'm looking for some online holster dealers who are reasonably priced, and reputable.

I used to buy locally but our areas premier gun dealer just retired and closed up shop. :(

Thanks for any info!

what are you looking for?

your best bet, IMO, is to find them here in the "for sale" forums, or over at thefiringline.com or glocktalk.com sale forums.

because lots of us have holsters that we buy to try, but turns out doesn't suit our carry requirements... you can get a like-new holster for considerably less cost than from retail.

other than that.... ebay?

I'm looking for a right hand IWB leather holster for my Springfield XD .40 subcompact.

I'm checking ebay right now, and haven't seen anything on our forums yet.

I'm a little leery of buying on the other mentioned forums as I am not a frequent visitor, and don't know anyone.

I just bought one from Galco's website.

I found some on ebay, but they looked very cheesy, and hastily made.

I'm still looking for a nice conceal carry holster for my 1911.

galco is my preferred holster for off duty. i use the quick slide for my colt. bought a whole galco rig, belt, mag pouch, flashlight pouch, holster. ive been very happy with them.

don hume also makes a damn fine holster.

for custom, check out el paso saddlery. epsaddlery.com iirc.

The real pros (Secret Service, CIA, etc.) go to DiSantis. Pricey, but top quality, and they could write the book on concealed carry.

Safariland or Galco, I own both and love em. If you are out West check out good old Tex Shoemaker, he has been making holsters for everyone for mucho years. One of the old time holster makers that take alot pride in their holsters. Me and a buddy rolled over to their shop one day and left with an armload of "free holsters". We went in there originally for badge wallets. These were holsters that had a blemish on them that I couldnt see or care about and whammo, free! Nicest guys around. I'm sure some of the SoCal LEO's on this forum will back me up on that one.

Check out the Fed Paddle for your 1911 (Galco). I have fallen in love with these holsters if they are made right, and Galco does. Safariland even makes one and I Put my Custom Colt LW Commander in one.

yes, tex shoemaker is fantastic.

they have a website as well. most of their gear is for duty use, i have mag pouches from them. but i think they do make some concealment holsters as well.

Mike G,

Take a look at the Galco Royal Guard for your 1911. They list for about 100 bucks, but I found mine at cheaper than dirt for about 15 or 20 bucks less, IIRC. Great holster for the 1911. For me it's very comfortable and you can conceal it with just a t-shirt.

80-100 bucks is not cheap, but for a quality holster it is worth every cent.

milt sparks comes to mind for leather- i'm not a big fan of leather holsters. I like the kydex.

www.comp-tac.com its a small company out of houston texas i believe- great customer service. I like the shirt tucker- i broke the clip on it- not sure if it was my fault or not, but the sent me a replacement, all i had to do was pay shipping- its quick too-

i've had bad experiances calling big shops asking questions- but they are more then helpful- i will order from them again without doubt!!
