Best para 2 steel for toughness?

Which para sprint run do y'all think would be the toughest? I already have the s30v, s110v and cts-Xhp
versions. Im thinking between Elmax, cts-Xhp, m390, s35vn are the leading contenders. Need help choosing my next para. I favor toughness over edge retention because I like sharpening often. I know the m4 is coming out soon but with me living in Florida I don't know how much of a pain that will be keeping it from rusting. Either way I will be getting one when it comes out but I need one to hold me over. Thanks.

Wow I have been searching the Internet for this question and couldn't find anything definitive, the second I post and look at the rest of the posts I see someone just asked the same thing.

S35vn is the toughest.

However, I don't know enough about cts XHP to comment about it.

Some say its like a stainless D2.

Enjoy your quest!

I have heard the whole cts-xhp is like D2 as well but also heard it's more like cpm-D2 which are 2 different things.

Elmax should be a contender. This question will be easier to answer in a couple of months when the m4 exclusives are released. ;)

Are the 3 versions you currently have not living up to your expectations? You experiencing some chipping?

I'll second this.
Icing on the cake will be better edge retention with all except m390 & s110v. Maybe better than those, depending on what you cut.

My guess is on M390/CTS204P. By my experience, XHP has exhibited the best edge stability though. I have not used S35VN though. I'm waiting on CPM CRUWEAR myself.

I've not heard good things about Elmax. Mainly it being a pain to sharpen, or keep sharp. But I don't have any Elmax to refute or support such grumblings. I could have misheard. I dunno.

Just a thought.

Purely subjective, but I've been really pleased the performance of CTS 204P and M390.
