Best Picture File Size?

Can anybody tell me what picture size is best, so my pics don't run off the page,(I hate when that happens)

I'd guess that most people use 800x600 or higher resolutions. Allowing for some junk on the side of the window, I'd keep my pictures under 450 pixels wide. You can always link to the larger resolution picture.

I think most people with relatively modern hardware (14-15" monitor) would be using 1024x768 though, that should leave you about 600 pixels to fill.

Like AlphalphaPB I usually make mine 450 pixels wide. I used to use 600, but 450 appears to be large enough to see details while still being small enough to not cause problems. It does depend on the pic, though.
