I am a total newbie so don't hate me off the bat. I want to make my first knife and I'm trying to pool resources. So far it seems as if Koval have the most scales ( g10-dymandwood ) and all the extras. Am I correct, or are there better places to shop???

Please help,

Hi Guys
www.knifekits.com
Best kit prices.
We have two new knife kits coming out.
There is no better way to learn how to make a folder!

We offer a wide selection of precision folder hardware
Wide selection of g10 in colors

We have the lowest prices on Carbon fiber also, by the square ft or small pieces in stock .

Take a look.

Sheffields has a lot of selection in EVERYTHING, as well. Steel, handle material, sheath supplies, enraving supplies, etc.

Welcome.

My advice to anyone is to shop around. When I state that I don't necessarily mean for price but for service, delivery and availability.

For the new guy just starting out, just about any of the knifemaking supply houses are good. They and knifekits.com are a good source of kit blades. Darrel's 605 folder kit is about the best there is I understand. Everyone I have talked to is pretty high on it. After about a 5 year hiatus from doing a kit, he has me tempted.
What better way to learn?

C Wilkins
