Best Place For Supplies?

Tomorrow i need to put in an order for some linen and canvas micarta, along with some nickel silver pinstock, maybe some 3/8 X 3/4 nickel silver, who knows what else. i also need to buy some steel... looking for probably some s90v. some 01, and again who knows what else. what are the best palces to buy the steel? and the handle materials? thanks a lot

do you mean tomorrow? or monday? you get confused with your days! so tell me if this is a good idea.... MSC for 01 admiral for s90v and K&G for the handle materials?

K&G may be cheaper on 01 than MSC, they used to be.
MSC is a great source but I do shop around.

In my experience no one supplier is THE best. Each on has their strong points and better price breaks on material depending on purchase quantities and such. Shop around, I have purchased from Downie, Jantz, Texas, Sheffield and K&G. All are good people to deal with.

yeah looking around, seems prices go crazy, i did the other post questioning the difference, but i assume its just the tollerances, george do you ever buy different steels? ever notice a difference in the tollerances?

Don't forget Koval Knife maker supply (http://www.kovalknives.com). They had a huge booth at the Atlanta show, and sold almost everything they had, seems like. Fairly good prices too. Like George said, no one supplier is the best, so shop around...but Koval is as good as the others, in my opinion.

Downie Knives is now operated by Jeff Diotte in Ontario Canada but his web site is either down or has moved. It was www.downieknives.com

He is a great source, and besides, I don't stock any of the items on your list yet. ;-)
