What are some of the better online catalogs for watches? I am looking to buy a new watch. I want something classy looking, but also durable and precise. I am looking at Swiss Army, Wenger, Luminox, etc. I do not want to spend more than $150. What are some good places...and what are some good watches? I am new to the quality watch scene...having owned Timexes and Casios for the last 20 yrs.

I'll ditto Para Nurse, uhm... Psychonoid, uhmmm, you know, the IU fan!
:D
LOL
Seriously, PsychRN is right. Dennis Bible, aka Shootist16 is good people and good to do business with.

(Sorry Psych, I get goofy when I can't sleep.)

Get some Trazodone or ambien, Mr. Cox. That should help you get some sleep but I think there's no meds to cure your goofiness. :)

I didn't know what to get. I've heard the Luminox's are great, and I used to want one very badly. But I decided on a Swiss Army Officer's model with blue dial, #24337. It was $295 on every website, except for www.wristwatch.com, which had it at $206.

Hey PsychRN,

I've taken Trazodone and Ambien, both for insomnia. Trazodone has been ineffective. I've been taking the Trazodone for about a month. Sucks for its intended purpose...tring to get me to sleep. Ambien, on the other hand, has been outstanding. I've been taking it on-and-off for over a couple of years. Puts me out in 30-60 minutes. Strange effects, though, with the "amnesia" affect. I seriously have forgotten converstations after taking it.

Back on topic. I now have three Luminox watches. I really like them and have not experienced any problems. My most recent purchase from Dennis Bible at http://theleadingedgeonline.com/ was simply outstanding!

Hi Ron,

Ambien is truly meant for short term treatment of insomnia. Its short acting and may cause weird dreams and actual hallucinations.
Be careful, no alcohol or other depressants, and be close to your bed before you ingest it.

Hi PsychRN,

My "sleep doctor" (a sleep specialist) has prescribed the Trazodone as an alternative to Ambien. But he has been relatively comfortable with long term use at a maximum of two doses per week. If the Trazodone would work without the bad side effects I've had with other similar medications, I'd be happy with it. But to date, it has not assisted in assisting bringing on sleep.

I drink very, very little alcohol...often a token at best. And yes, Ambien is only taken very close to my bed. :)

One amnesic occurrence of note. I recently had a very painful "day surgery" procedure. When I got home, I just wanted to sleep, but couldn't. So I took an Ambien and went to bed. My boss called sometime later and we had a conversation for about 45 minutes. I didn't remember a word of it and didn't remember that she'd called. Very embarrassing. :o
