Best Place To Buy A New Strop?

I think I have about worn my old one out. I got it from stropman.com. It is probably not worn out. I may try sanding it. It has been a great strop. Do you all recomend any other strops. What about the kangaroo leather ones? I think I got the fever for a new strop. Lol With M390 steel all I have to ever do is strop it with diamond paste and it is good to go.

I bought some veg tanned leather from the bay and used some 18mm ply offcuts I had in the garage with double sided tape. 3 8x3inch strops for a few pounds (GBP).

Because I’m like that I also planed all the rough edges to make them nice to hold and added some non slip matting to the bottom surface

I have never used a hanging strop before, much less one with 2 belts. Do you use any compound on either the leather or the linen belt, or run them both dry?

If so, what compound do you load each side up with?

I like the strop kit from Chef knives to go. It has a metal base and the strops have a magnet back.

I use my hanging strop bare. It works for me.
