hi,

So far i have been buying knives from Amazon. Sub $50 knives.

But, I think amazon is a risky, because i might get a counterfeit knife and not know it.

I only have seen Knifecenter and BladeHQ. If I am just buying one delica, what is the best place to get it? Advice would be much aopreciated.

Thanks

Bladehq and knifecenter are both great.Take a look at
[non-BF dealer removed] and knifeworks also. Or you can find one here on the exchange

never had a problem with [a non-BF dealer]. And if the knife I got had any issue whatsoever I’d send it back for nothing. And who’s to say that knife you bought from the exchange wasn’t bough from [another place] anyhow.

I’ve only purchased two knives and a flashlight, but DLT Trading has earned my loyalty so far.

Amazon is not a spyderco authorized dealer. Half the stuff on amazon is counterfeit. Buying from amazon does nothing to support the knife community. If everyone bought from amazon, the knife community would be dead. Whatever price you can find on amazon, you can find from a real dealer that takes care of their employees instead of treating them like cattle.

Please do not post links to auctions, deals, bargains or other offsite promotions. Dealers who want to advertise are encouraged to purchase a Dealer membership, paid subscriptions keep BladeForums.com open.

Personally, I thought the original wording was easier to understand, even though it's a bit blunt:

Auction / Deal / Bargain Spotting
This is a variation of the "no spam" rules that we have. We know you found a great deal on a Ninja Death Tool 3000 - we don't care. If that dealer wants to advertise on BladeForums.com, encourage them to purchase a Dealer membership here instead of giving them free advertising.

Several posts contain a link to the paid dealer list. There is also one in my signature line.
