Wasn't sure which sub-forum to ask in, so this seemed most appropriate.

If you own a Foredom or other rotary shaft grinding tool, have you found any good online suppliers of burs/bits with good selection and prices?

I'd be especially interested in sources for the coarse/fine carbide "spikey" burs, which are kind of pricey.

Check Ebay. There are lots of burrs and bits there at good prices.

Although one would do best to avoid the cheapest ones, as the quality is always garbage. As I like to say, the prudent spendthrift knows not to buy the cheapest sausages. ;)

Cheap shot!
Most of the bits and burrs (especially carbide) have been excellent quality.
And, I'm not a "hobby" user!

Huh? I hope that was in jest, as I wasn't directing my comment to indicate anything about you or your character.

I wasn't saying that you can't find great deals on quality bits and burrs on eBay. Just that the absolute cheapest (usually sent straight from China with absurdly low "buy it now" prices) are almost universally garbage. I've tried buying cheap burrs of particular sizes/shapes before when I needed them for one-off projects and the cheap ones were always malformed and dull. I still buy cheap with stuff like that, just typically not the cheapest. The gains in performance are well worth the slight bump in cost to not end up with a totally useless bit/burr. :)
