Best platform to showcase S110V?

Preemptively: I know that the easy answer to my question below is that I should get all of the S110V production Spydercos.

I unfortunately do not have the means to obtain all the arrived/upcoming blurple S110V production models, though I would like to get at least one. I know there have been multiple threads comparing the PM2 to the Manix2 or the Manix2 to the Native5, etc., but I am still having trouble figuring this out. I have a S30V Manix2, but I do not have a PM2 or Native5. I really like the Manix2, and am leaning toward getting the S110V Manix, but this is also an opportunity for me to try out the Native series or the mythical PM2. I'm torn, and not sure what to do.

Ergos are subjective, and preferred blade size/profile vary based on intended use, so I was thinking that instead of making this a (total) rehashing of other threads I would ask the following:

Which of the production blurple S110V models might best showcase S110V's capabilities? Not so much of "which knife should I get?" but more so "for which knife is S110V best suited?"

the answer is highly subjective, but I have narrowed my own potential choices between the para 2 and the military. The military would make a crazy good kitchen knife with that steel. I already have a digicam para2 in S30V, and it's awesome, but I have yet to get hands on a military.

Subjective, yes-- most of the S110v platforms fit into something of a "EDC plus" category I would think, and thus have similar intended uses. However, I think there's some objective points as to why ZDP might not be your steel of choice for your chopper, and I'm wondering if Spyderco users might similarly think that say the PM2 would benefit more from the S110v treatment than the N5, for example.

Or we are just splitting hairs and whichever one I get is going to be cool.

The best platform to showcase a steel like s110v is probably a fillet knife. Highly corrosion resistant steel that will hold a fairly sharp working edge for a long time. Very thin edge mostly negates any sharpening issues. I know that's not an answer to your question, just wanted to throw that out there. ;)

Of the upcoming blurple knives, the Millie is the only one I might want. Big long slicey edge in a work knife. The rest of them I would rather have in a different steel.

Folder would be the Military.

Fixed would be the South Fork or Sprig.

That's my opinion. :)

Yes on the Sprig!! That's exactly the type of knife where I would appreciate a steel like that. In fact, I even appreciate the s90v that is currently used on that model. I use a knife like the Sprig for a far different set of tasks than I do my everyday folders and a steel like s110v makes a lot more sense. The edge is nice and thin so there's minimal difference in sharpening time. Also, S110v has proven itself to be even more corrosion resistant than s90v in my use. As much as I use the Sprig around saltwater, I would definitely be onboard with that.

BR ......... get a PM2 in S110V......... you'll love it. It was my first spyderco knife... drooled over the keyboard for 3 months before I bought mine.

It really is a very nice knife!

Already have a pm2 with s110v, but I wonder if s35v might be better for that knife. Sharpening s110v is an effort.

Actually, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the upcoming K11P in S110V with blurple Corian handle.

How dead freaking shmexy would that be? I mean... seriously...

Edit to add:
Dear G-d,

I hope Sal is reading this and says "yeah, that's a great idea. Let's make a proto..."

Love,
Ben

P.S.- If Sal wants to send me said proto, it won't hurt my feelings too badly.

Actually, when i thought of it, i was just thinking of the awesome thin edge and edge retention for super sliciness.
But the more I think of it, I think the corrosion resistance would also make it an awesome kitchen knife where it would see a lot of moisture and acidic foods.
Now I'm really jonesing for this. C'mon Sal, I know the K11P is Japanese made, so it would have its host of logistical issues, but you know this has to happen.

even with the sharpmaker diamond rods?

Especially with the Sharpmaker (which I love). I have to use the diamonds on my Wicked Edge and then work to sharpen this steel when it gets dull, or chipped. And it does chip with outdoor use.
I m starting to like tough steel that holds an edge well, but can be sharpened fairly easily with diamonds or sic stones.

Yes, very high level sharpness is a bit trickier to achieve with s110v too. I don't dislike the steel and appreciate its characteristics in certain types of knives but it's not the be all, end all for me.
