This may be a tad off topic and should probably be in the community forum, but what the hey. My daughter Madeline Louise was born on Monday, Oct. 25. She was born five weeks early through an emergency C-Section; it has been touch and go for the past two days but everything has leveled off and she's doing great. This is my first and probably last kid, as they really frighten me and I don't know if I can survive the teenage years too many more times if even vicariously. My wife is the happiest lady around, and I derive the most joy knowing that my daughter will be the best bladefighter in kindergarten; she'll leave her knives at home of course. Maybe just one of her wooden training dummies...

When she gets old enough, there'll be a homemade oak presentation box containing a Puma Bowie and kydex sheath, and a Benchmade Mini-Axis 705S for her. If nothing else, it'll make a nice paperweight for her skyscraper office.

Professor,

Congratulations! Glad to hear that mother and daughter are doing well. I always thought I would not like having kids around too, my daughter is 14 and I wish we had done something like stack bricks on her head to keep her from growing up. She is too old now, and that trick won't work any more. I got just a few more years before she is gone.

Do your self a favor and savor every minute. Time flies my friend.

Congratulations, Professor. I hope everyone concerned is healthy and happy.

I recommend the Spyderco Rescue Jr. for cutting those stubborn tape fasteners on disposable diapers.

No, I'm not joking.

Congratulations Professor. Glad the C-Section worked out ok.

Love, cherish and enjoy your little girl. They grow up fast, and then they're gone (from your home to make their own home).

My wife said no more after the 1st. Then said the same thing after the 2nd. Time changes your mind sometimes.

Nice presents she has waiting for her. I know she'll appreciate them.

Hey Professor, Congratulations! My daughter got (Keely Ann 07/10/99) a pink Delica engraved with her initials and DOB. She will get a small Sebenza (I have one but will start looking for one with her DOB on it)when she is ready.

Congrats, Professor! Life, as you have known it, is over, and you won't care a bit!A daughter is the greatest gift God can give a man, in my experience.

Thanks guys! All is well so far, and it's still looking like they can come home Friday and Saturday, mom and baby respectively.

Professor- What a coincidence. My bithday is 25OCT and my son was born on 04SEP five weeks early. He will require open heart surgery next month though at Johns Hopkins. He should be just fine after that. My daughter is three and can't get enough of guns and knives. They grow too fast . God bless you and yours.

It is a great feeling to brag about kids, ain't it? Gunfighter, my thoughts will be with you and your son. Best of luck, and it sounds like you've got one of the best hospitals and best doctors in the entire world with Johns Hopkins. I'll include you in my prayers. Professor.
