Best price for Danner Acadia boots to the U.K.

I've set my heart on a pair of Danner Acadia # 69210 boots for my Christmas present. The # 69210 is the version with the 200 gram Thinsulate lining.

In England they sell at £190 (roughly $295) NOT including post & packing. Also, the only U.K. stockist I can trace doesn't do 1/2 sizes or different widths...

I believe my U.S size would be a 12D.

I've looked at various U.S. sites including uniformboot.com, knoxshops.com, bootsandshoes.com and newenglandshoe.com. All seem to sell the Acadia I want at $209, postage extra. I think it's going to be the international postage that sinks me.

Can any forumite suggest a trader who would supply me at a favourable rate?

Have you tried HM Supplies in camberly?

I used toi go and look at the danner boots with longing and an empty wallet and buy some of their boot dressing to go on my other boots :)

The official UK importer for Danners is Earle Trading over in Penrith, email Tolla Sutcliffe on tolla@earle-trading.co.uk or phone 01768 982800.

Our people buy a lot from them and swear by them, however they do take a long time to arrive. I think Earle wait till they've got a hundred or so orders then batch order them.
