Who has the best prices for bimetal bandsaw blades, the 64 1/2", 14-18 teeth ones? I just put my last one on a couple of days ago and it doesn't cut worth a damn. It's one of the top brand ones too. I've never had a problem with this particular brand until recently, so I'll skip the name. It seems like one will cut forever and the next one lasts a couple of days. I like to keep a couple on hand. Thanks.

Tom ,

Give Andy Lawhorne at Superior Saw & Tool in Adel ,Ga at 229 896 3830 a call. I think you will be well pleased with price & service with any kind of sawblade you need.

The prices from most reputable places will be close enough. If you want to save a buck or two, look for one that is closest to you and save on shipping.

The blade should $25 or thereabouts, in .025" thickness. McMaster, MSC, Enco get my vote. I am lucky to have McMaster's giant warehouse 1hr away from me. Translates to about ~$3 in shipping charges, for most orders, but I do get hit with sales tax.

Learn how to silver solder broken blades and it will last you forever :)

I just ordered a couple from Andy Lawhorne at Superior Saw and Tool. Thanks for all the replies. I haven't broken a blade in years, I just wear them out. Except for the last one that wouldn't hardly cut anything. Yup, it was installed right.

A very high quality blade made in Germany but welded in Elk Grove, IL by their USA division is Roentgen. For a M42 bi-metal blade 5' 4" x 1/2" x .025 you should pay around $20, FOB Elk Grove, IL. Their toll free number is 800-815-3750 and they can refer you to a local distributor, or feel free to contact me. Their web site is www.roentgen-saw.com. I sell their blades to industry in IL and WI and they are of the very best quality.

I just ordered some from Andy Lawhorne four days ago and they were delivered this morning by UPS.
