Best prices/selection of Mont Blanc pens?

I received the Winter 2002 catalog from Fahrney's Pens yesterday and lo and behold, I finally found a Mont Blanc that I actually like Anyone know who out there has the best prices and selection of Mont Blancs? And why is it that there are no Mont Blancs sold on the Internet? I have yet to see one net based retailer sell this brand. Does MB have a policy against selling their products on the net or what??

Edit - I just checked Colorado Pen's website and they carry MB. But one has to call to get pricing and they state that in fact MB does have a policy against selling their pens on the Internet. Basically, any MB's sold on the net are not authorized and possibly maybe fakes. Makes sense to me now.

Unfortunately it is hard to find bargains on Mont Blancs since most are MSRP, but try searching their site for a local retailer, they have opened chain stores now. However, why spend the dough for a Mont Blanc when you can get a Cartier? They are incredible, look cooler, and have a great balance. I got a Diabolo roller ball and it never stops pleasing.

The real problem with buying pens across the internet is that the feel of the pen in the hand and the way that it writes is terribly important. If you can't handle it and write with it in the various nibs you won't know if you realy want it or not.

If you are thinking of buying a large german fountain pen I would suggest to seriously consider getting a Pelikan M1000. It is a better pen IMHO.
Can be bought on Ebay from a German dealer for about $200 making it a bargain to boot.

You may want to try Sharon Luggage. They used to have a "we'll meet or beat any price" policy. Don't know if it's still in effect. I think they still have a mall store in Winston.
There has been a bit of talk in the pen world of MB's quality of late. Bad nibs, blocked feeds, leaks and such. I have only had one small problem with MB, some cartridges which leaked. They just did not fit the section right. One actually split down the side. Threw them away, purchased another box of cartridges and no problems so far. It may save aome hassels to try the pen when you purchase.
Just wondering, which pen are you looking at? (if you don't mind my asking)
