Any recommendation for minor scuffs & scratches on my mirror finish knives? I've tried heavy duty auto rubbing compound & fair results. I will be doing it by hand or I have a polisher as I did car painting for a living.

Stick sanding with high grit first to remove the marks and unify the surface with a power tool.

Funnily enough I have been searching for the very same type of products today, I thought to myself that there is no way all the commercial shops are spending hours hand sanding blades on their shiny knives, I ended up ordering a mixed set of polish from a company that does next day delivery almost everywhere in the world, The product is BOLPOL BUFFING BAR PACK, the grey looks perfect for what you describe, then you can shine it up with one of the others.

One BIG thing to make this work is changing the buff for each grit. Store the buffs in zip-lock bags with the grit size/color written on the buff and the bag. Store the polish the same way. DON'T store the polish in the bag with the buff because it may pick up stray grit on the block or tube while sitting on the bench.
