Okay, the paramillie and sharpmaker are on the way in the big Spyderco shipment from NGK. Now I glanced at the beautiful Random Leek and I'm in love with its unique reverse tanto blade. I've seen reverse tantos before and didn't really feel one way or another about them, but the Random Leek's is really fascinating me. Are there any other production reverse tantos with a blade similar to that particular Leek's?

Benchmade 940 or 942, aluminum handles, reverse tanto blade, axis lock.

I'm getting mine for my birthday (8 days)

happy birthday !
you'll appreciate it !
BM940 is really a nice knife, personnaly my prefered EDC ! :D

The 940 is cool, but doesn't have the blade shape I'm looking for...the Summit is pretty close, but no way I'm spending ~25 dollars on 420....

Dalton Dragon, if you are into autos that is.

I love the blade on it.

Chiro75 has made some nice looking reverse tantos- I stole this from his website:

Edit: not production, however. . .

It just looks like a quasi tanto to me....it doesn't really commit to the shape of the the reverse tanto (or at least, my mental image of one). I really like the gentle curve of the actual edge of the random leek. I'm totally blown away by the shape....it might become my favorite blade shape....

im not the most learned knife knut, but would that be classified as reverse tanto, or modified wharncliff?

If you look around, you may find a Summit with AUS-6. I have one and was very impressed with edge holding. * someone on here posted, they prefered AUS-6 to 440A and I will agree. Just seems to be better steel. (it might have been STR?)

I think Chiro called it a modified wharnecliffe. It's pretty, though, isn't it?
