I have been looking for a good rigging knife in both a folder and a fixed blade.I have a Spyderco Mariner PE and have had a Myerchin Offshore Crew PE. Any suggestions?

Look at a David Boye dendritic folder- they are designed for watercraft. I highly recommend one for any general duty tasks as well

The Boye knives are super for rope and general cutting. Watch out for people selling 440C as Cobalt. (BDS vs. BDC)

Also, if you can find one, you might consider one of the old Kershaw model 12's. Better construction than a lot of the sailors knives out there.

Also, note that many (most) of the marlin spikes offered are not heat treated, so they bend. Don't know if this is intentional, bit can be annoying when working with big stuff.

I do like the look of the Seamaster and I really like the placement of the serrations.A bit pricey, but not so much to turn me off.
