"Best" Rolling type case, carry on and not: Price irrelevant

Here is another Blackhawk bag for you :D

Diver's Travel Bag ENHANCED w/ Wheels

divebag.jpg

I know it says it's a diver's bag - but when I travel with this, I can fit a huge amount of clothes and gear in it. 4664 very usable cubic inches of room, and 4 great big outside pockets. The bag opens completely for easy organization and packing.

I also have an A.L.E.R.T. Bag from Blackhawk.

This bag is a monster - 8385 cubic inches. The bottom has an internal rigid steel frame stiffeners for efficient carry and rolling! The bottom will not droop or bend under heavy loads when rolling and on the move.

Eight large internal see through MESH zippered compartments, five are expandable.
One Internal Pouch is completely padded for sensitive gear
Full wrap around carry handles made of heavy duty webbing for superior weight support.
Carry handles on each end are vertically attached for maximum strength.
Hook & loop closing "handle grabber" secures the handles together.

Whew - enough typing :)

Have fun!

What is the difference between the Diver's Bag and the "enhanced" divers bag, 21DTO? Thanks

Any more votes for best stuff? Confirmation on Blackhawk from a non-vendor (no offense :D )

Fracmeister,

No difference that I know of, only one dive bag offered in the Catalog.

No offense taken - I always try to get as many opinions as possible when shopping around :)

Hi Fracmeister,
I've got a bud that builds bomb-proof cases for the audio/visual/electronics industry. He also has experience building cases for other applications. You can check out his stuff at http://www.avs-duracase.com
Stay Safe,
Clyde
p.s. I don't have experience with the diver's bag but the Blackhawk gear I've seen was some very good stuff.

Personally, after having a large amount of cloth bags shredded by Airport Works, I picked up a Pelican #1650. It's tripped around the country many times and has only the most minor of scratches to show for the miles. It also can be locked with real padlocks as I often carry firearms in it when I fly.

The Pelican #1650 Case is watertight, airtight, dustproof, crushproof, and built Pelican tough! Equipped with foam for total equipment protection. Features include fold down main handle, 7" extension handle, large side trunk handles, seven large latches, 2" hard rubber transport wheels, atmospheric pressure purge valve and a personalized nameplate.

I got mine with no foam or camera organizer and added the lid organizer.

I love mine and would not think of flying without it.
