I am having a really hard time finding a charitable auction that accepts blades.
I know several charities that do really good work and are efficient.
Is there an organization that will host a venue to auction my wares and the money get to a charity that I know uses the funds for the work and not some admin salary?

I'm not sure about a specific organization. I have done several auction knives for EOD Warrior Foundation, but that was through people I already knew and served with. My recommendation would be to find an organization you feel good about, do some research on overhead cost vs. actual percentage that donations go towards, then contact them directly. Usually they will have a public affairs or event coordinator. That would be the best place to start.

just a thought- you could auction the knife yourself and give the money to any charity

That is what many folks do. They print the tickets, sell them at their table at shows or through other methods, and donate ALL the proceeds to the charity.

American Knife and Tool Institute seems to host them with half going to charities of the donors choice.

Anyone have experience with this group?
