Hi guys, a little IMO fun:

What 1 Schrade fixed blade would you consider the best knife for bushcraft, camp shores, hunting chores, field food prep, etc. and why?

I know this is covers a demanding and broad spectrum of tasks, but you can only pick one  And let's see the associated pics

After years of using Schrades and input here, I've picked the following:

SANY0038.jpg

Reasons:

1) 1095 is tough and easy to sharpen to shaving in the field.
2) Not excessively heavy for a full-tang, thick, 5 inch blade (i.e. not too big, not too small).
3) Some belly is conducive to hunting field dressing chores. But still plenty of blade for bushcraft and camp chores.
4) Guard - I know many would disagree, but as I age I'm increasingly glad to have a guard for hand protection. But can still choke-up with the choil.

Remember, just 1 !

The 164UH. That was my hiking, hunting, camping, canoeing, fishing knife. Stolen a year ago. Been trying to replace it ever since.
