Hi folks,

I'm looking for an EDC folder (~3-4") for intensive use, I like the cutting power of serrated blade.
Wichone is the best CS Voyager or Spyderco ???
Is one easier to resharpen than another and wich stone to use ???

Thanks for replies !!!

Spyderco is the best in serrations, no question about it, tough, sharp, easy to sharpen (sharpmaker), durable, all you'l ever need.
CS serrations arent that bad, but they are extrem hard to sharpen and wont last long

I got both and use both frequently.

CS serrations and Spyderco serrations both cut well and equal effectiveness in my opinion but lots of other factors such as length of serrated edge and etc. which I haven't really considered.

But CS serrations are more fragile. Since per inch the CS serrations have more 'spikes', it also means that the individual spiky ends of CS' are more fragile due to the small size of the serrations, almost like pins. My CS Recon 1's serrations break easier than Spyderco's robust version. However to be fair CS' cut neater than Spyderco on thick cardboard and CS is more prone to snatching onto fabric then Spyderco (maybe because the courser design of Spyderco's result in the spikes having a less perpendicular and more gradual 'slope' hence stuff slips easier unlike CS' which is almost at right angle to blade).

:)

PS: Definitely easier to sharpen a Spyderedge than CS.

Tough choice if you only consider the serrations. When you factor in the rest of the knife, I'd go with Spyderco.

I just received a serrated Spyderco and the serrations are awesome. I expected it would be good at things like rope cutting, but it slices paper cleanly.

I don't like serrations but if forced to choose then spyderco without a doubt. very aggressive.
