Have some time to plan which sheath to use. Any recommendations?

What are your plans? What are you going to be doing with the knife? If this is a safe Queen, then it really doesn't matter. If you're using it, where are you using it? Outside? Deep Woods? Snow? Extreme uses?

Kydex holds up great, weather-proof, and it's extremely wear resistant, but it's not "pretty" like leather.

Cordura is a great intermediate.. It looks OK, and wears better than leather in the rain, but it WILL retain some moisture, and it's only moderately wear resistant.

Leather is good if you're not going to get it REALLY wet.. (I live in the PAcific NW, It's ALWAYS wet here..) Leather LOOKS great, it has grain and texture, and it breaks in so it HUGS your knife. However, it will rot up here, and getting it wet can ruin it.

Sooooooooooooooooooo.............

Kydex.. Definately Kydex..

Or Leather.. Yea, definanately leather..

Or Cordura.. Yea Definately Cordura..

Or you could just send your Badger Attack to me, and then you wouldn't have to burden yourself with such a terrible decision.

Outside, Deep, Woods, Snow, and Extreme uses are possible. How about Cordura with Kydex liner?

I'm confused, how often do you expect to be attacked by Badgers? You a Michigan fan or something?

:D

Mike, those are both the same sheath! :) It was designed by Robert Humelbaugh and is manufactured by Spec. Ops Brand.

I be damned.. They are!! Whoops! My BAD!!

Thanks Flix! I didn't notice that, just thought somebody had stolen somebodies design! Oh well, now ya have 2 sources!! They also have some other Kydex sheaths you can look at..

Oh, and don't forget Okuden..

Brian does nice work too.. That's who is making my Game Warden Sheath, and one of the sheaths for one of my Badger Attacks!

Rescue Mike is right on with the Spec-Ops Brand. TAD Gear has all 3 models, and at a great price. Brian @ Okuden is fantastic as well. Great kydex and great customer service. I personally like to have a couple carry options. In leather, I would suggest the BAD ASS design from Dwayne @ Armoralleather.

Good Luck!

They all are great options...maybe you should have leather, kydex, and cordura.....a $227.00 knife deserves a spare pair of pants or two.
