Best single source for BM limited editions?

Hello ladies and gents,

I'm new to this forum but have been collecting knives for over 30 years. I have a large collection of Benchmade knives and I'm always looking to add more.

I mostly collect limited edition models, but it's sometimes its a long and tedious search and I end up missing out on some really cool stuff.

Does anyone know of a source s to find out when BM releases a limited edition knife and where to get it?

This is a great place to start. Many special edition benchmade models are featured on this sub-forum.

There is always someone who will be able to answer your questions. Benchmade moderators often chime in on things too.

Are you talking about dealer exclusives? BM's forum has an announcement section which you do not have to sign up to view. I believe these are exclusives with specifications negotiated by different dealers, e.g. REI, Cabelas, KW, KSF, CS, etc. I don't really use FB, but I think they have announcements on their FB page, too.

I’ve looked at the BM forum here @ BF and I couldn’t find any forum in the BM website itself. I couldn’t find what you’re referring to (not the first time I’ve been unable to find something). Where is the announcement section you’re referring to?

It can be tricky to find on Benchmade’s site. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the home page and look to the right under “Benchmade Fans”. There should be a link to Benchmade Forum.

Thanks for the roadmap. I needed it. I saw the “Benchmade Fans” heading but I figured it’d be a compendium of gushing fanboy endorsements, so I moved on before noticing the miniaturized “Benchmade Forum” subheading under it. I need to make more frequent and better use of my magnifying glass!

I just Google "Benchmade forum"... although I did sign up there, too.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies.
As a Benchmade collector I was looking for a single or reliable source indicating when and where you can buy BM gold class, store/retailer exclusives, and BM limited edition runs.

It always seems that i see a truly unique BM on this forum or otherwise that is sold out, out of production, or never aware of that i totally missed out on...

I will dig deeper into BM's forums too.
