What is the best skeletonized neck knife under $50.00

I thought I saw a skeletonized Colt knife with a carbon steel blade somewhere on the internet but can't find it again

I think the best bargain in this category is the Camillus CUDA ArcLite. It's a great design in a decent steel (420HC) that can be had for under $20.

Hi Pentlatch!

If you're looking for a real worker, look at Newt Livesay's neck knives. I've got a few of his Woo knives, and they're real work horses. Also, if they're still available, Rekat's Hobbit Fang is a nice blade as well. The Woo is a tanto blade. The Fang is different, kind of a drop point style, but not exactly.

I'll second the Livesay Woo as a great neck knife, mine is an EDC (Livesay Woo EX)

The NRGS-EX is a great option for those who prefer a spearpoint over a tanto point:

see if you can find a rekat hobbit fang somewhere. They're discontinued, but some dealers still have a few. The steel is good, old fashioned, 1095. I've had one for just shy of 6 mo.s now, and I love it.

I'm one of those wierdos who likes Zytel.

Just got both a Camillus ArcLite and a REKAT Utility (a straight Fang). I like the Utility a little better, nicer steel and coated blade, but I don't think I like it twice as much though (double the price of the ArcLite). If I worried about rust I'd go with the ArcLite.

REKAT Utility, Mini-AFCK, ArcLite.

Nice little fixed blades both of them.

The Livesay NRGS. I have one that I have beaten up pretty severely and it is still going strong. Newt's 1095 takes a great edge and holds it.

ive got one of mike's neckers (well,he has it right this moment,he is putting scales on it.)

its ats34 steel, comes shaving sharp, and inclused a kydex neck sheath.
one of the best buys out there for neckers.probably THE best buy for custom neckers.
good luck,
maurice

The Camillus CUDA Arclite is a great design, just the right size for neck, and extremely good corrosion resistance in 420.

I like the Emerson LaGriffe for what it is, very small, wicked claw.

Think twice ... three times ... before you buy an inexpensive neck knife out of carbon steel. If you really intend to carry it under a shirt during warm months, sweat w/ salt equals rust.

Although not skeletonized My favorite kneck knife is a Newt Livesay Woo.The best knife I ever owned at only $25.00 plus shipping.I've got eight others, but this one is by far the best of all .tom.

I received a REKAT Hobbit Fang yesterday (Wednesday) that I bought from a fellow Forumite for $25. I really like this little knife, but I kind of wish that it was also offered in Satin ATS-34 steel...

I have also owned a CRKT "Stiff Kiss" neck knife that was a pretty good value for the $.

hi - have a CRKT stiff KISS, and IMHO its too darned heavy for a neck knife - i like it but its just tooooo heavy for everyday use - have a arc-lite, and it is a good 1 for the $$ - but for the $$ would rather have a WOO by wicked knife co - last time i looked they were $25 - as far as neck knives go, they rule by a slight margin over the arclits - thats what i would get anyway...
